PAPERBOY
Justin, a southerner trapped in the icy north, was brought to Barrow by his late father and mum in the early '80's. Always enjoying his outsider status and an avid interest in words, he was inevitably was drawn to Morrissey's exploits with the Smiths.

It was through a shared love of the mopey mancs that Justin first bonded with foot-balling mate Andy Turner. In fact it was during a walk home after a heavy defeat that they first mooted the idea of forming a band. A couple of years later and they'd done it. THe Chelsea Flower Show was born. Justin had to wait his chance though, and was only installed as singer after a coup to dispose the of the original incumbent.

At 6th form Justin's musical tastes took him further off the beaten track with bands as disparate as stump, McCarthy and "stutter" Era James, delighting the college common room. There was little difference on stage as the C.F.S. went from strength to strength dominating the local scene until their untimely death after typically, their best gig- with Andy's brother Phil joining on bass.

Eight years passed with Justin trying his hand at many things even, sadly, poetry, and although he and Andy remained on good terms it took a chance meeting to re-ignite their performing partnership. While waiting for a bus Justin was spotted by Andy and a conversation about the merits of Belle & Sebastian and the Beachboys lead to the protracted beginnings of Paperboy. An admiration for great american 20th century novels (Fante, Bukowski, Salinger etc) had been a shared inspiration and now informs the clipped stylings of the bands words.

Justin has three kids and a dog with three legs.
